I have been established in London for 22 years, having learnt poster linen backing and restoration from the top dealers of Paris 28 years ago.

During the time linen backing and restoring posters in London, I have worked, and still work for, many of the established auction houses, poster dealers and private collectors in the U.K.

Clients can have posters linen backed only, for longevity and easier handing; and if required the poster can be fully restored, depending on personal taste and value.

Linen backing consists of wet mounting the poster onto acid free paper and cotton duck with an acid-free glue which is reversible. When dry and cut the poster is perfectly flat and can be framed and or mounted without the process of dry mounting.

Restoration includes, de-acidification of the poster; removing foxing, fold marks, old tape and other stains, missing sections recreated, undetectable repairs.

I am based in South West London and am happy to see client by appointment, alternatively many established clients often send me work via couriers. Prices and quotes are on a poster-by-poster basis, varying, according to size and extent of restoration required.
